unnamed

Here is a group photo of little girls living at the Girls Home of Hope. The way the software iPhoto rendered the snap, I thought it worthy of a display. So here it goes:

Angels at the Girls Home of Hope

From one viewpoint they looks like unnamed beneficiary of hard work from a committed organization and faithful workers. Beneficiary of generosity, for which they ought to be grateful. They must be living day in and day out feeling like 'I am all alone', trying to find a place in this world. Getting trimmed and polished when visitors come to visit. How are they building their worldviews? Most likely by observing GrownUps, watching what they Do, not by what they talk about and by hearing the hushed discussions. How does it impact their confidence or self-worth? And when they face the outside world: Some of the lucky ones join regular government high school, then to face the prying eyes of the other kids, with moms-n-dads.

How does the creator views them? He knows what they feel when their dad or mom visit them once a year accompanied by a stranger, when they see brand new 'puja' dress that other kids are wearing on the street, see their neighboring world on the TV (and more likely on a mobile phone).  These unnamed numbers are precious in His books. If He knows when every hair on their head falls down, then these angels must be more worthy of our attention. He can use any and all of this situation to mold their lives. He invites us to be a part of it. How we respond to that, is a free choice me and you have.
