The wait

Just having crossed the Week Forty mark, we are in the wait state, anxious. So blessed
for this smooth sail. Hospital bag checklist is triple checked, packed, this weekend it will be placed in the car. Nesting instinct kicked in two weeks back. Mom sacrificed her drawer space
for future baby items. Items on the dresser top are stuffed in the closet,
top of the dresser is wiped clean & replaced with a jumbo diaper pack. And the crib is adorned
with sheets & bumper. Also note that I am out of bounds from the medical cabinet.

The office folks have already bid all-the-best-in-case-I-don't-see-you, the desk is cleaned up &
experiments handed over. I am going through the notes, to refresh the breathing techniques et al. Doc says 1cm dilation (normal for first-timers), so be patient. Baby seem to be in head first position. 10 days past the due date will be the max wait before the medical-induction.

Parents from bombay are here. They have been a great help. Eating healthier now, fresh veggie cooked with love, non-repeating lunches etc. We had some Garden center shopping, grabbed
some bonsai plants/pots & late seasons vegetables. Dad & Mom are totally into planting them,
nurturing them with water twice a day, placing bonsai's in sunlight for just the right time...
All done, before the official due week. For some snippets, checkout

milestone 37

This one was a biggie. Having finished the FullTerm milestone, we are rejoicing over this blessing. Now that the finish line is in sight, we are thinking about the delivery itself. The car seats are in, the crib is assembled and baby clothes washed with Dreft. Our doc appointments are a brisk affair, check the weight, BP etc, then the doc measures the belly extent, fetal monitor, everything is Normal, boom ! What else can we ask for.
